Born from a community milestone.
In 2020, Banner Health acquired Wyoming Medical Center, and the assets of WMC transferred to what would become Natrona Collective Health Trust: a private foundation tasked with stewarding the proceeds and reinvesting them in the health and well-being of Natrona County residents. This history shapes how we work: with transparency, with a focus on underserved populations, and with an obligation to the health of our community members. Grantmaking, programs, and advocacy are our tools.
2020
Trust established
Community hospital assets become a permanent charitable endowment.
2021
First grant cycle
Trust launches grantmaking with initial partners across Natrona County. Key areas of focus: youth and mental health, nonprofit capacity building, and community collaboration.
2022
NCSJ Launched
Bringing together law enforcement, health care, social services, and nonprofits to solve systemic problems together. We also started our Participatory Grantmaking this year.
2023
Research & Advocacy
In addition to its grantmaking and community programs, the Trust adds policy research and advocacy efforts to its work.
2024
Purchased our permanent home
Advocacy program launched. Youth Mental Health Collective established.
2025
$66.7M distributed
Five years of sustained investment across nearly 100 organizations and initiatives. Moved into our permanent home. First independent Banner WMC monitoring engagement. NCSJ Summit. Youth Takeover Week. Next strategic plan underway.
