Partnering with Banner
Wyoming Medical Center

As part of the agreement established when Banner Health acquired Wyoming Medical Center in 2020, the Trust allocates 3.3% of its net assets annually to support Banner WMC. These funds help ensure the delivery of high-quality, community-based healthcare.

Since the acquisition, the Trust has contributed more than $37 million toward equipment and programs that directly benefit those receiving care at Banner WMC.

In addition to this financial support, the Trust plays a key role in evaluating whether Banner Health is upholding its commitments under the 2020 transaction agreement—such as keeping care local and maintaining essential services like maternity and trauma care.

To fulfill this responsibility, the Trust has retained an independent monitoring firm to evaluate Banner WMC’s compliance and report annually to Natrona County. These annual reports are available below.

This oversight is focused on compliance with the terms of the acquisition agreement and ensuring annual grant funds are spent responsibly. The Trust does not have influence on or provide oversight of hospital operations and day-to-day management of Banner WMC. To provide feedback on Banner WMC to the Trust and PYA regarding the hospital’s commitments, please email [email protected].
