Meet Michael

Masterson Place Director
What brought you to this work?

I have known the Masterson family for years. I marched in the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps with both John and Sue Masterson in the 70s.  Many years later, when the opportunity arose to manage the hospitality home their family founded, I eagerly applied and was honored to be hired for the position. I have always enjoyed working with people, listening to their stories, and sharing my own. Now I have been given the opportunity to help in my own way. Not only do we give our guests a wonderful place to stay but we look forward to helping by listening. My passion for Masterson Place and what we do here grows stronger every day.

Education and Experience

I have worn many hats over the years, many of which contribute in their own way to the industry I’m in now. I was a music major in college and spent many years teaching at several Drum and Bugle Corps. I attended technical college to become a Master Barber.  I’ve done fundraising work for non-profit organizations, and I also worked as a computer technician for over 10 years.

How do you spend your free time?

I still follow the Drum and Bugle Corps activity to this day; I go to competitions every year. I also enjoy live theater, art and movies.
